Garageband reddit android4/25/2024 ![]() Then i do whatever drum recording or sequencing, as well as effects-adding and mixing i want, delete (or mute) the reference track, then bounce the DRUMS down into a good quality aiff, or wav. So what i do is i bounce the bass/guitar/vox into an mp3 as a reference track, open up a new project (same key, same bpm) and drag the reference track in. That's a LOT of software going on simultaneously. I tend to record drums with one track for each drum (snare, kick, toms, hat, ride, crashes). Not sure of the science, but it's what i was told to do. Doing so will let garageband sort of "Forget" about that track (i suppose it's kinda like zipping the track, like one would do with putting a bunch of files in a zip file). See that little lock button by the mixer? Click it, it'll lock the track, making you unable to edit it until you unlock it again.
